Join us in celebrating the diverse cultures and communities of Sydney Road Brunswick at the Anstey Village Festival. A fun day with music, dance, arts and culture from all over the world!
Taste Lebanese sweets and Serbet (Middle Eastern tea prepared with fruits or flower petals), experience the art of henna and join in the Dabke with the Jafra Dabke Group who embrace the Palestinian dance culture.
Get crafty with Crafternoon and the Multicultural Women’s Sewing Group, create your own comic book with local artists from Squishface Studios, make some art with the White Rabbit Collective and meet Brunswick’s own Scarf Styling and Bespoke Headpiece designer from The Haya Atelier. Smell the sweet oils from Asa’s Perfume.
Performances include: Afghani pop musician Reza Fazeli, Brunswick’s own Greek performance troupe Pontiaki Estia and the O’Ziriguidum Samba School, ensemble Sultan inspired by music of the Turks, Balkans and Middle East and the local gospel FFM Global choir presenting ‘African praise’.
