In Dialogue, Practice grew from the desire to establish a counselling/psychotherapy practice based on the collaborative and relational approach of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). Directors, Lee Crothers and Jen Wood, having trained in other therapies, found CAT a compassionate and effective approach for supporting people to understand their difficulties. By understanding how past experiences influence how we act, think, feel and relate to others in the present, we can achieve change. As one of the range of services needed by people in their daily lives, being located on Sydney Road enables us to feel part of the community that we support.
